Shankar Desai
At the age of seven, Shankar’s mom took him to see The Last Emperor in a movie theater in Bombay — and he watched her cry as the credits rolled.
His fascination with weaving tales that move people that deeply started then and continues to beat loudly today.
In his previous professional successes – whether as a Managing Director at Google, a founder who sold his company to Zillow, or as a teacher to Tibetan refugees in North India — his storytelling distinguished him in the field.
The transition to screenwriting was an evolution to dedicate more time to what he considers meaningful work: crafting stories that shape culture, start conversations, and inspire us to wake up.
Below are a few of those types of tales the Old Wolf Collective are cooking up in their den.
